Bigelow Hill, CV Planning Board Gets a First Look
On April 6, 2026, WMMH presented a concept plan to build 50 units of workforce housing on a 20-acre parcel donated by Weyerhaeuser. It is located on Route 27 north of the Sugarloaf Access Road in Carrabassett Valley. The project will be built over time as funding becomes available. It includes two 12 unit apartment buildings, seven duplexes, and twelve single family homes. We plan to submit a formal application to the Town and DEP within sixty days and are hoping to have approvals in place sometime this summer. Construction will likely start in 2027.
